Fog Effect on Picture

In the winter season, you can see fog every where at morning so I am inspired and going to create fog effect in the Photoshop. You can also apply draw fog effect on any oicture. I have selected a beautifull picture and tried to make this effect as real fog.

Take any picture to apply fog effect on; I have selected this picture for the learning purpose. 

Take a new layer and select Gradient Tool (G key), adjust the gradient color and other options.

Apply on the new layer, click on bottom of the picture and scroll mouse up. You see the fill gradient colors on the whole layer, don't worry follow next step.

Now change the blending mode of the layer "Normal" to "Screen", it is used to match both picture.

This is the final fog effect.
