Bamboo Bowl

Hi, In this tutorial you will lean how to create a 3d bamboo bowl in illustrator. First, you have to create a 3d bowl shape and then apply a wood texture, you can apply any picture also. I has been completed by using four step and you have to follow them carefuly.

First take a new document with any size as you need, block the fill color and choose stroke color "#996E2A" with "1pt" select a Pen Tool (P key) and make anchor point then modify by using Anchor tool (A key).

Now convert the line as 3d bowl, select the line and go to Effect menu > 3D > Revolve. Apply same settings as done below picture.

Insert wood texture and you have to make it as a symbol, open symbol pannel and drag and drop. A pop up come on and press Ok. Follow upper path to apply wood texture on the 3d bowl. As upper picture opened click on the Map Art button, select surface "5" and symbol "Wood texture".

You get this picture, make duplicate layer and change the blend mode "Normal" to "Soft Light" then reduce the opacity.

Apply background and get the final result.
